Sparkasse application can also be used in Ukrainian now

10.05.2022 - Press release Nr. 17

One of Germany's most successful financial applications, the Sparkasse application, is now available to users in Ukrainian. Sparkasse is thus trying to meet the great interest of Ukrainian refugees in modern financial services in Germany. “Millions of people have left their homes because of Russia's war against Ukraine, many of them are staying in Germany. They need safe and fast access to financial services of all kinds. Sparkasse wants to make a contribution to improving the quality daily life of these people in Germany. Language is the basis for this," says Helmut Schleweis, President of the German Savings Banks Association.

The Sparkasse application has given access to savings banks for many customers and it currently has over 13 million active installations. The language of the application depends on the system language that has been set in the smartphone. Previously, the app was available in German, English, Czech and Polish – now also in Ukrainian.

With the help of Sparkasse application users can check their own account at any time and anywhere, they can view balance and turnovers and also ensure regular payments with standing orders. In addition, the application offers many other functions, such as the account alarm clock, which informs about selected account transactions.

Users can manage any number of online bank accounts in the application – apart from Sparkasse accounts they can also manage accounts of many other banks (with FinTS support). Moreover, users can check their accounts and submit transfers quickly and easily.
